1781 Battle of Petersburg
April 19 - 20, 2014
April 19 - 20, 2014
This event is being held by the Seventh Virginia Regiment. The 7VA is sponsoring the Fixed Regiment of Spanish Louisiana Artillery Unit for full Continental Line membership. Therefore, the Regiment's gun and crew will attend this activity and are asking for maximum participation from as many members as is possible. We understand that Sunday, April 20th is Easter, so if you are only able to make the event on Saturday, April 19th, please do so.
The weekend will provide the public an opportunity to experience and learn about the soldiers who fought in the war for American Independence from England. Re-enactors' troops will camp on the grounds of Battersea and will hold regimental drills, training exercises, skirmishes, and battle demonstrations throughout the weekend.
