6/16/2015

Annapolis greets Lafayette and his Ship

Picture
June 16, 2015 and June 17, 2015
Lafayette's frigate, L'Hermione, is landing in Annapolis and the Fixed Regiment of Spanish Louisiana and El Dragón will be on the pier to greet the General and his ship.
Annapolis is the first port of landing for this esteemed, majestic vessel that is the largest and most authentically built Tall Ship in the last 150 years. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to part of this landing and to see and visit this most amazing historic ship.
A welcoming ceremony with American and French officials kicks off the event dockside at 9AM on Tuesday, June 16th. A parade is scheduled after the welcoming ceremony stepping off from the port at 11:30AM proceeding to the Fallen French Soldiers Monument at St. Johns College where there will be a Sons of the American Revolution wreath laying ceremony.
Parking near the pier will be provided for our members.
